WINDS OF TIME Chapter 9

I thought that we'd changed
But it looks as though we may have stayed the same
Are you sure it's different?
Let's create a space to inhabit
So we'll be sure to occasionally enter this space
If we create this space, we're sure to return
If we visit only pre-created spaces
We may never return
Wash the face and then the hand
Then crawl through the space and stand up
When you stand
The tide will come flowing through
And you transform any of the shortcomings
Into evencomings
And all the exaggerations
Into humble abodes
Try to live as long as you can
And then you will live as long as you will
You will live through this and that
These and those
And continue to be exhilarated
By the rushing winds of time
As you fly above those rushing winds
You decide that you will enter
Because of the exhilaration
That comes from entering
And they blow and blow
And you continue to enter and enter
And flow as you're flowing
You get the sensation of floating
Then you are truly in touch with the inner self
The inner you, the inner "I"
Up above I see a bird in flight
I reach up to touch it and I realize it's too far away
So I reach a little higher and I realize
It's still too far away
So then I leap and then I touch and then I fall
But touch is worth the fall
So we should touch even if we fall
We should love even if we hate
We should laugh even if we cry
What are the reasons?
The reasons are, because of the pleasure that we get
Through just doing the things that come closest to us
As we venture through this dimension
Just open your heart, open your eyes
Open your hands and accept
And you'll give your gift to the world
The gift of giving, the gift of taking
They're one and the same
There's no difference between
The give and the take, the take and the give
It feels good on the brain
The give and the take
One and the same, the same in one
Was this the reason I decided to talk to you?
Or maybe I'm not really talking to you
Maybe I'm talking to someone else that lives within you
Maybe I'm talking to the God that lives within you
Can you let the God within you totally come through
To communicate with the God that's within me?
That's what we must do, that's where we must go
Because we all have the God in us
Some of us are afraid to open up
And let everybody see the God within us
We're not all willing to let everybody know
That we really have a God within us
I can feel the God within you
I can feel the God within me
It is the oneness of us all, it continues to flow
Through everything that I am
Down below is where God abides
Way out there is God's home
Way across the sea God has journeyed many times
So that God could be eternally everywhere
And move from place to place at the same time
That is on the edge of being impossible
For our minds to comprehend
Because we, as the beings that we are
Using our minds, can only go so deep
Then we must leave our minds behind
And use our inner selves, that huge, huge us
We have to use that to communicate with God
To go deeper, higher, further
In and throughout
